Farewell to Geoff Burrow: Remembering His Legacy
Filmogaz.com reports the death of Geoff Burrow on Monday 30 March. He had been unwell for some time. He was the father of Rob Burrow.
Life and family
Leeds-born Geoff was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He and his wife Irene raised the family in the city. He took Rob to his first game at Headingley and helped begin Rob’s love of the Rhinos.
Advocacy and career
Following Rob’s diagnosis in December 2019, Geoff became a tireless campaigner for the MND community. He continued his advocacy after Rob’s passing in June 2024. Earlier in life he worked as a trade union representative and championed those without a voice.
Club response
The club expressed deep sorrow and offered its deepest condolences to Irene and the Burrow family. They asked for privacy for the family at this sad time. May he rest in peace.
