Ex-District 3, PA Football Stars Shine in United Football League Debut

The United Football League opened its season Saturday and Sunday. Seven Pennsylvania players with Mid-Penn Conference or Ex-District 3 ties appeared on UFL rosters.

Several PA football stars shined during their United Football League debut weekend. Teams in action included the Louisville Kings and Columbus Aviators.

Notable performances

Keaton Ellis recorded nine tackles in Louisville’s 15-13 loss to Birmingham on Saturday. He is listed as the Louisville Kings free safety and played at Penn State.

Background notes

Kicker Ryan Coe will debut for the Columbus Aviators on Sunday. He began high school at Red Land before transferring to South Fayette in Pittsburgh.

Coe kicked collegiately at Delaware, Cincinnati, North Carolina and Cal-Berkeley. He spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent.

Former Upper Dauphin All-State linebacker Macklin Ayers joined the DC Defenders in February. He had three seasons at Dartmouth and helped the Big Green share the 2023 Ivy League title.

Ayers also received a Cleveland Browns mini-camp invitation in 2025. Jerome Kapp is a wide receiver for the Orlando Storm.

Kapp starred at Boyertown and played at Kutztown University. Jordan Mosley is listed at strong safety for the St. Louis Battlehawks.

He played at Maryland and attended the Haverford School. Kenny Robinson Jr. is listed at strong safety for Louisville.
