Highlights from the campmates
Beverley Callard
Beverley Callard said her 2020 appearance in Wales boosted her confidence. After filming in South Africa last year, she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.
She underwent surgery that included lymph node removal. Bev said she fears the eating trials most and doubts she will win.
Scarlett Moffatt
Scarlett, the 2016 winner, returns feeling both nervous and excited. She said the series offers a rare break from parenting a toddler.
She called the invitation a thrill and promised to give the show her all.
Seann Walsh
Seann, who finished fifth in 2022, credits the jungle with reviving his stand-up career. He still hates creepy crawlies and will miss his two children.
David Haye
Former boxer David Haye finished third in 2012. He said the trials were manageable and he looks forward to South African wildlife.
Sinitta
Sinitta was the second celebrity voted out in 2011. She hopes this return will help her overcome lifelong phobias.
Sir Mo Farah
Sir Mo Farah came fifth in 2020. Now retired, he says he can speak more openly, but he remains terrified of snakes.
Ashley Roberts
Ashley, runner-up in 2012, says the show changed her life. Her boyfriend, a young tattoo artist, helped calm her pre-show nerves.
Adam Thomas
Adam completed 12 trials in 2016 and finished third that year. He still fears spiders and cockroaches and says he is not very competitive.

The series bills its challenges as tougher and more extreme than before. Contestants will face tougher Bushtucker trials and fresh wildlife encounters.
