Background and leadership

The franchise formerly known as Sialkot Stallionz was bought and rebranded. Owner Gohar Shah renamed the side Multan Sultans ahead of the season.

Ashton Turner will captain the Sultans. This will be his first captaincy in the Pakistan Super League. Turner brings recent success, having led Perth Scorchers to three Big Bash League titles between 2022 and 2025.

Islamabad United remain under Shadab Khan’s leadership. He guided the team to a second-place finish on the points table in a previous campaign.
