Philadelphia Launches Third ‘No Kings’ Protest on the Parkway
Philadelphia hosted a third “No Kings” protest on Saturday. Organizers planned a rally that moved onto the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
Schedule and route
The demonstration began at City Hall at noon. Protesters were expected to march onto the Parkway at 12:30 p.m.
Speeches were scheduled for 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of 22nd Street. The timing and route were announced in advance.
Organizers and purpose
The event was organized by Indivisible, a nationwide movement opposed to authoritarianism. Organizers said the protests oppose actions by President Donald Trump’s administration.
Speakers at earlier protests voiced concerns about an unchecked expansion of presidential power. They said they feared the White House was moving toward a dictatorship.
Regional scope
The Saturday rally was one of at least 40 demonstrations across the region. Events took place from Philadelphia to Pennsylvania suburbs, South Jersey, and Delaware.
Previous turnout
Earlier “No Kings” events were held in June and October 2025. Those protests drew millions of participants nationwide.
