Coalville Pride Celebrates Second Year with New Venue, Headliner, Family Activities

The community festival in Coalville returns on 1 August for a second consecutive year. Organisers moved the event to Coalville Park and expanded the programme.

Programme and performers

Coalville Pride enters its second year with a new venue, a strong headliner, and formal family activities. The headline act will be Donna Marie, a Lady Gaga tribute known for theatrical shows, live vocals and hand-made replica costumes.

The festival runs from 12:00 to 19:00 BST. The schedule includes live music, community stalls, food vendors and a dedicated children’s area.

Family focus and children’s entertainment

Children’s entertainment will be led by Jeddy Bear & Gary, both comedy festival nominees. The organisers have formalised a family programme to broaden appeal to parents and carers.

Free admission remains in place to reduce economic barriers. The family activities aim to make the event welcoming for all ages.

Aims and background

The first edition in 2025 drew about 1,000 people despite poor weather. That turnout established local interest and a baseline for growth.

Pride in Coalville CIC runs the event. Director Keiran Lee-Ridgway says organisers want a visible civic presence that keeps people connecting in Coalville.

Operations and logistics

The event will run across the afternoon and early evening. The festival layout will feature a stage, stalls and food areas in the park.

Community and economic impact

Organisers hope the expanded programme will retain first-time visitors and attract families. Local vendors and small organisations can benefit from concentrated footfall.

Organisers and attendees will test whether the free, park-based model can become a lasting annual fixture. The approach may influence how nearby towns design inclusive events.

Filmogaz.com will report on the gathering and its outcomes for the town. Community members are invited to attend and join the programme on 1 August.
