Game of Thrones Invades Fortnite: Play as Daenerys, Jon Snow, and Night King

Fortnite has added major Game of Thrones characters to its roster tonight. Players can play as Daenerys, Jon Snow, and the Night King.

What’s included in the crossover

The trio arrives alongside themed items and emotes. A rideable Drogon glider joins the Shop.

Daenerys wears a Season 4 blue dress with an alternate darker cloak style. Her back bling resembles a chest of dragon eggs.

Jon Snow offers styles with or without his fur-trimmed cape. An in-game effect slowly dusts his hair and shoulders with snow.

The Night King appears in full form and comes equipped like the other skins. All three characters include weapon pickaxes.

Weapon and cosmetic details

Jon’s pickaxe is modeled on Longclaw. Players can also purchase emotes to sit on the Iron Throne.

Additional emotes summon fiery baby dragons. Prices in V-Bucks have not been revealed yet.

Chapter 7 Season 2: Showdown context

The crossover coincides with the start of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2: Showdown. Showdown added a large wintry area ruled by an icy monarch.

The new season launched yesterday and includes a battle pass with Bugs Bunny. The Foundation, played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, also returns.

Shop rollout and player reaction

All three Game of Thrones skins appear in Fortnite’s Shop tonight. Epic has not yet disclosed V-Bucks prices.

Early fan response has been generally positive. That comes after complaints about last week’s V-Bucks changes.

Under the new system, V-Bucks cost more and appear less frequently in battle passes. Fortnite Crew members also saw reduced perceived value.

Franchise crossovers and broader trend

Game of Thrones is the latest high-profile IP to join Fortnite. This marks the first crossover bringing George R.R. Martin’s world into the game.

The inclusion follows a pattern of characters moving from Warner Bros.’ Multiversus into Fortnite. Scooby Doo joined last year.

Bugs Bunny appears in this season’s battle pass. Many Multiversus characters are now represented, though some notable omissions remain.

Notable absences
