Bridgerton pays tribute to Nicholas Braimbridge and Tony Cooper after Season 4 finale
Bridgerton’s Season 4 finale included a closing-credit dedication to nicholas braimbridge and Tony Cooper, honoring two behind-the-scenes crew members who worked on the series and its Queen Charlotte spinoff as the final four episodes landed on Thursday (26 February).
Nicholas Braimbridge remembered
Braimbridge worked as a scenic artist on both Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story and was credited with finishes on the grand interiors that appear across the franchise, including marbling and wood grain effects. Production designer Alison Gartshore created a GoFundMe in his honor in May 2025 to help support his family after the tragedy that month. Gartshore wrote, “Nick Braimbridge was a hugely talented Scenic Artist, who very sadly passed away last week. ” She added that he was “an expert faux finisher well known for his exquisite marbling and wood grain finishes, the knowledge of which was built up over years working with very top-end interior designers and latterly within the film and TV industries. ” Gartshore said, “I worked closely with Nick, and he was an integral part of our Art department team, and was a delightful, charming, funny man – a true gent. Everyone who met him loved him, and we as a team are all very upset by his passing, he will be greatly missed. ” Gartshore also noted, “Very tragically, Nick lost his wife to cancer just before Christmas this year, and it is truly unbearable that he has now also passed away, leaving behind two daughters, Flora and Amelia, who are both still teenagers. ” The fundraising page aiming to support Braimbridge’s daughters is still active.
Tony Cooper's career behind the wheel
Tony Cooper served as a unit driver, transporting cast, crew and equipment around sets and to various filming locations, and he also drove on the Queen Charlotte spinoff. Cooper’s credits span a long list of film and TV work: he was a unit driver for the final three Harry Potter films and a cast driver on 2015’s Cinderella, the Winston Churchill biopic Darkest Hour, The Crown, The Batman, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Black Widow, among others.
How the finale honored them
After the final scene of the Season 4 finale, a title card read before the credits rolled: “In loving memory of Nicholas Braimbridge, Tony Cooper. ” Coverage of the closing-credit sequence also showed the dedication phrased as “In Loving Memory of Nicholas Braimbridge and Tony Cooper, ” and both wordings appeared as the episode concluded. The final four installments, which focus on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and household maid Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), arrived as Part 2 of Season 4.
Where this season sits in the series
Bridgerton first arrived on Netflix in December 2020 and helped launch Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page to broader attention; the series is produced by Shonda Rhymes’ production company Shondaland. The show has focused on a different Bridgerton sibling each series: Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) led series one, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) led series two, Colin (Luke Newton) and Francesca (Hannah Dodd) shared the spotlight in series three, and Benedict’s romantic pursuit of Sophie is the main storyline of the current series. Season 4 was released in two parts, with the first four episodes arriving in January and the final four instalments following a month later.
Season 4, Part 2 is streaming on Netflix, and the GoFundMe created by Alison Gartshore in May 2025 remains active to support Braimbridge’s daughters, Flora and Amelia, as viewers watch the finale credits honor both crew members.
