Organ Transport Box Re9 Is Central to Race to Crack Resident Evil Requiem's Final Puzzle

The organ transport box re9 is a key item players must retrieve to insert artificial lungs into a body in the Examination Room — a task that unlocks a Level 2 wristband and clears a path toward the game’s so-called Final Puzzle.

Organ Transport Box Re9 and the Examination Room

To get the artificial lungs, players first need a Level 1 wristband and access to the Garage on the ground floor of the West Wing, just past the Kitchen. In the back of an open van in the Garage sits the organ transport box re9; grabbing it triggers a brief cutscene, after which the player should return to the Examination Room and open the box to insert the lungs into the lifeless body on the table.

How to retrieve the heart and secure the Level 2 wristband

The heart is stored in Cold Storage at the end of a West Wing corridor behind a door with a large wheel. When that wheel snaps, the door will not open until you find a wrench — the wrench appears in the Custodian's Office after the Garage cutscene. Use the wrench to open Cold Storage, take the heart from a rack, and return it to the body in the Examination Room. Once the revival process starts, the body breaks free; killing it again yields the Level 2 wristband from its wrist, which is required to open the Isolation Ward and reach the Security Office.

Moon, Sun and Star quartzes and the Central Hall lock

The bigger obstacle tied to the Final Puzzle is the quartz-locked door in the Rhodes Hill Care Center Central Hall at the top of the curved stairs, near the Guard Office save room. You must collect three Quartz pieces — Moon, Sun and Star — to open that door. The Moon Quartz is found in the West Wing after solving the Puzzle Box in the Chairman's Office: interact with the box to reveal buttons, then press Moon, Sun, Star, Moon to obtain the Moon Quartz.

The Sun Quartz is obtained in the East Wing from the Puzzle Box in the Lead Researcher's Office. That box’s padlock must be removed with Corrosive liquid, then solved by pressing Star, Sun, Moon, Sun to collect the Sun Quartz and a Leatherbound Notebook. Along the way in the West Wing, interacting with a Unicorn Trinket Box yields a Red Jewel used to open a door into the Parlor, where Antique Coins can be exchanged for upgrades such as the Hip Pouch and where a severed arm under a table by the bar holds the East Wing Keycard needed to continue the search for additional quartzes.

Collecting the three Quartz pieces and the Level 2 wristband completes the chain of steps that lead directly to the quartz door in the Central Hall and the Isolation Ward beyond it — elements central to what players have dubbed the Final Puzzle and why the race to fully solve it has intensified.

Next up for players: use the Level 2 wristband to open the Isolation Ward, reach the Security Office to secure the final quartz, then place the three Quartz pieces in the Central Hall door to progress into the next area of the main story.
