Deadly Collision Claims Two Lives in Lanaudière
Tragedy struck in Lanaudière on Wednesday afternoon when a deadly collision claimed two lives and left another person injured. The incident occurred on Route 158 in Crabtree, approximately ten minutes from Joliette. Emergency services received a call around 3:30 PM regarding the violent crash.
Details of the Collision
Upon arrival, responders found two individuals in critical condition. They were quickly transported to a hospital, where their deaths were confirmed. According to Marc Tessier, a spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the driver of the first vehicle reportedly deviated from their lane, moved onto the shoulder, and then traveled into oncoming traffic before colliding with another vehicle.
Victims and Injuries
- The deceased were occupants of the first vehicle involved.
- The driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries and was also hospitalized.
