Up to 10 cm of Snow Returns to Quebec
Quebec is set to experience the return of snow this Wednesday, as temperatures rise slightly throughout the day. Although forecasts suggest it will not be a heavy snowfall, significant precipitation is expected, particularly in the Outaouais region.
Snowfall Predictions for Quebec
Environment Canada has issued a special weather bulletin, predicting a snow accumulation of 5 to 10 cm in certain areas. This snowfall may lead to reduced visibility where conditions are most severe.
Montreal and Other Regions
- Montreal is expected to receive between 2 to 4 cm of snow.
- Higher snowfall amounts may occur in the northern crown areas.
- Central regions and Abitibi-Témiscamingue will see similar snowfall levels.
Temperatures will remain near seasonal averages. However, strong winds, ranging from 40 to 60 km/h, may lead to blowing snow in various locations, further impacting visibility on the roads.
Snow System Diminishing Towards the East
The snow system will weaken as it moves into Eastern Quebec. In these areas, the snowfall will become more intermittent throughout the day.
Forecast for Thursday
As the week progresses, sunny conditions are expected to return in southwestern Quebec. However, light snow may continue in central and eastern parts of the province.
