Queensland Floods: Woman and Rescuers Saved from Raging Waters

Recent floods in Queensland have prompted urgent rescue operations, highlighting the dangers of heavy rain impacting the region. Three individuals, including a 56-year-old woman, became trapped in rapidly rising waters after her vehicle was submerged on Booral Road in Bunya Creek late last night.

Rescue Efforts in Queensland Floods

At approximately 10:40 PM, two men aged 25 and 26 came to the woman’s aid. Unfortunately, they too found themselves in peril as the water levels rose quickly. Emergency services were called to the scene and successfully rescued all three. The men received on-site evaluations while the woman was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital for further observation.

Additional Rescue Operations

Other rescue incidents occurred overnight amid escalating flood conditions:

  • Two men were rescued from the roof of a truck in Mount Steadman.
  • A man and a woman were saved from a car ensnared in floodwaters near Biggenden.
