OM Digital Solutions has introduced the OM System Tough TG-7 Industry NY-TGV Super Adapter Kit, tailored specifically for microscopy and industrial purposes. This new iteration of the TG-7 camera facilitates examinations, research, and testing through its unique features.
Key Features of the TG-7 Industry
The TG-7 Industry camera is a specialized variant of the standard TG-7 model, which launched in September 2023. Equipped with a 12-megapixel Type 1/2.33-inch sensor, the camera boasts a rugged design, making it ideal for demanding environments.
Microscope Compatibility
The NY-TGV Super Adapter allows users to connect the camera directly to binocular stereoscopic microscopes. This connection enables close-up digital image capture at magnifications of up to 200x, depending on the objective lens of the microscope.
Improved Functionality
While the TG-7 Industry shares core functionalities with its predecessor, it also introduces dedicated modes on its Mode Dial:
- C1: Focus-stacking mode for macro work.
- C2: Microscope adapter mode for enhanced flexibility.
It’s essential to note that focus stacking is primarily designed for macro photography and not for microscope use. The camera excels in its macro capabilities, with a minimum focusing distance of one centimeter (0.39 inches), yielding 7x magnification without the need for a microscope.
Rugged Design and Durability
The TG-7 camera is notable for its durability. Key specifications include:
