Her efforts to secure a professional boxing license in France are also underway. Khelif believes this is a logical progression in her career. She firmly stated, “Just because I pursue professional fights doesn’t mean I am giving up on the 2028 Games. I want to be the first Algerian athlete to defend an Olympic title.”
