The 66-year-old actress will be flying back to the UK for additional testing this weekend. This news comes right before she was set to begin filming scenes for her new role in the Irish soap, Fair City, where she will play Lily, the long-lost mother of Gwen Connolly.

Diagnosis Announcement

Callard shared the details of her diagnosis on RTE’s Late Late Show. She had just received the news about her breast cancer diagnosis shortly before she was scheduled to film her scenes.
