Bethesda Confirms Skyrim, Fallout, and Oblivion on Switch 2 as Code-In-Box
Bethesda has made significant announcements regarding its upcoming titles for the Switch 2. Following the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim last year, the studio has unveiled new information about several major game releases.
Upcoming Releases for Switch 2
During a recent Partner Showcase, Bethesda confirmed the arrival of key titles including Fallout 4 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Additionally, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is also set for release.
Release Dates and Formats
The physical versions of Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, Skyrim Anniversary Edition, and Oblivion Remastered will be distributed as code-in-box releases. While Oblivion does not have a confirmed release date, both Fallout and Skyrim will launch their physical versions on April 28. The digital version of Fallout 4 is scheduled for release on February 24.
- Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition – Digital release on February 24, physical release on April 28.
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition – Physical release on April 28.
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered – Release date TBA.
Indiana Jones Game Details
In contrast to the previous titles, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be available as a physical game card at retail. This distinguishes it as a true physical product, not just a game key. Pre-orders for Indiana Jones are already active at Best Buy.
Notably, buyers should be aware that an internet connection is necessary for initial game activation and to download certain features, like additional language support.
Collector’s Options
If you are adding to your game collection, Indiana Jones is currently the only title offering a physical cartridge. This configuration has garnered both attention and some confusion among fans. Many are eager to secure a copy of this title upon its release.
As Bethesda continues to evolve its offerings for the Nintendo Switch 2, fans are left wondering which titles they will choose to expand their libraries with. Stay tuned for more updates from Filmogaz.com.
