Patriots vs. Seahawks: Key Trio Absent, Drake Maye Limited in Thursday Injury Report
As the New England Patriots gear up for Super Bowl LX, their latest injury report highlights several key absences. The Patriots practiced at the WIN Waste Innovations Field House, where three players were unable to participate.
Injury Report: Key Players Absent
Offensive tackle Thayer Munford Jr., outside linebacker Harold Landry III, and inside linebacker Robert Spillane all missed Thursday’s practice. Their absence raises questions ahead of the crucial matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
- Thayer Munford Jr.: Sidelined with injuries but previously played in the AFC Championship Game.
- Harold Landry III: Led the Patriots with 8.5 sacks this season. Currently dealing with a lingering knee injury.
- Robert Spillane: Recently returned from an ankle injury but remains limited due to ongoing issues.
Drake Maye’s Status
Quarterback Drake Maye was present as a limited participant in practice. Despite concerns about a right shoulder injury, he expressed optimism about playing in the Super Bowl. “Feel good. Got out there, moving around a good bit today,” he stated. Maye has endured a tough playoff season, having been sacked 15 times.
In his last game, he recorded 86 passing yards, 65 rushing yards, and one touchdown on a QB draw. Head coach Mike Vrabel indicated that there is little concern regarding Maye’s availability for the upcoming game.
Additional Injury Updates
The practice report also mentioned other players. A fellow rookie, Jennings, was limited due to a hamstring issue, while defensive tackle Farmer remains a candidate for activation after being on injured reserve.
As the Patriots prepare for their February 8 clash at Levi’s Stadium, the status of these key players will be closely monitored. Their performance could significantly influence the outcome against the Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
