Browns Conduct Second Interview with Jim Schwartz
The Cleveland Browns have initiated their second round of head coaching interviews this week, starting with Jim Schwartz. As the team’s current defensive coordinator since 2023, Schwartz has been under consideration for a longer period than other candidates.
Browns Conduct Second Interview with Jim Schwartz
Schwartz is not new to the franchise. He previously worked for the Browns in the mid-1990s. Furthermore, he brings head coaching experience from his time with the Detroit Lions, where he recorded a 29-51 record from 2009 to 2013.
Upcoming Interview Candidates
Alongside Schwartz, the Browns plan to conduct second interviews with several notable candidates:
- Mike McDaniel – Former head coach of the Miami Dolphins
- Todd Monken – Offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens
- Grant Udinski – Offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars
- Jesse Minter – Defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers
- Nate Scheelhaase – Pass game coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams
It is important to note that Nate Scheelhaase will be unavailable for his interview until after the NFC Championship Game. The Browns are actively looking to finalize their coaching staff and are evaluating each candidate thoroughly.
