Bills Activate DT Ed Oliver, WR Curtis Samuel from Injured Reserve
The Buffalo Bills have bolstered their roster with the return of key players, defensive tackle Ed Oliver and wide receiver Curtis Samuel. This activation from injured reserve comes just in time for their upcoming game against the Denver Broncos.
Bills Activate Key Players from Injured Reserve
On Friday, the Bills confirmed that both Oliver and Samuel are now active after successfully completing their recovery processes. The team had been facing a shortage of healthy receivers, with only three available prior to Samuel’s return.
Details of Player Activations
- Ed Oliver – Defensive tackle, recovering from a biceps injury.
- Curtis Samuel – Wide receiver, recovering from an elbow injury.
With Samuel’s activation, the Bills have also promoted wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. from the practice squad. Additionally, running back Frank Gore Jr. has been elevated from the practice squad, further enhancing the team’s offensive options.
Injury Reports
Oliver and Samuel were both listed as questionable on the final injury report. Oliver participated in limited practice sessions throughout the week, while Samuel fully engaged in the last two practices.
Oliver has not played since October 26 against the Carolina Panthers. Samuel last took the field on November 16 in a match versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The timely return of these players is crucial for the Bills’ strategy as they prepare to face the Broncos. Their presence on the field is expected to strengthen both the team’s defensive and offensive capabilities.
