Riley Green Joins ‘Marshals: A Yellowstone Story’ This April
Riley Green will appear on the Yellowstone spinoff Marshals in mid-April. A CBS representative confirmed the casting to Filmogaz.com. This will mark the singer-songwriter’s first dramatic television role.
Character and portrayal
Green plays Garrett, a troubled former Navy SEAL. He served alongside Luke Grimes’s Kayce Dutton in the past. The role requires emotional vulnerability as Garrett wrestles with old trauma.
Kayce tries to bring Garrett into the Marshals’ Western way of life. Producers describe Garrett as a returning figure, though the episode count of his appearances remains unclear.
Series schedule and episode timing
Marshals runs for 13 episodes this season. The finale is scheduled for Sunday, May 24 at 8pm. Episode 5 aired on Sunday, March 29, placing Green’s mid-April arrival near episodes seven or eight.
On-set experience and music
Green told ExtraTV he found acting a new challenge. He called the process a steep learning curve and appreciated the cast’s patience. The Alabama native also hinted at on-screen music moments, saying Garrett plays a little guitar.
