miller scored 23 points and Kon Knueppel added 21 as the Charlotte Hornets routed the Chicago Bulls 131-99 on Tuesday night in CHICAGO, giving Charlotte a team-record eighth straight road victory.
Miller's 23 points
Brandon Miller finished with 23 points and made five 3-pointers in the game. Miller hit his next three shots during a decisive stretch, including one of those five 3-pointers, to push the Hornets' lead to 88-65 and cap the run that put Charlotte in charge.
Knueppel's shooting, milestone
Kon Knueppel scored 21 points and finished with three 3-pointers on six attempts, raising his long-range field-goal total to 201. Playing in his 58th game, Knueppel became the fastest player to reach 200 3s. He hit back-to-back 3s midway through the third quarter and scored 10 straight points to give Charlotte a 14-point lead.
Third quarter and team shooting
The Hornets shot 51. 6% from the field and sank 25 of 57 3-point attempts, one shy of the team record. Charlotte outscored the Bulls 42-16 in the third quarter, including a 22-2 run, which broke the game open. Charlotte trailed earlier but led 56-55 at the half after falling behind by nine midway through the second quarter.
Chicago efforts and turnovers
