Pro Boxer Gervonta “Tank” Davis Arrested in Miami Gardens for Domestic Violence

Professional boxer Gervonta “Tank” Davis has been arrested in Miami Gardens on charges stemming from a domestic violence incident. This comes after an October 2025 report that alleged Davis assaulted a woman at a gentlemen’s club.

Details of the Arrest

On Wednesday, authorities apprehended Davis, 31, in the Miami Design District. The special investigations unit of the Miami Gardens police department, in cooperation with the U.S. Marshals’ fugitive task force, executed the arrest without any issues.

Charges Filed

Davis now faces serious charges including:

  • Battery
  • False imprisonment
  • Attempted kidnapping

Incident Background

The arrest is linked to a report from October 27, 2025. According to the victim, Davis, who is her ex-boyfriend, allegedly grabbed her and dragged her toward a parking garage at a club. They had been in a relationship for five months in 2022 but had broken up approximately one month before the reported incident. The victim indicated she sustained injuries during the altercation, which prompted law enforcement to seek an arrest warrant for Davis late last year.

Previous Allegations

Davis has a troubling history of domestic violence allegations in South Florida. Notably, on June 15, 2025, he was arrested in Doral after another ex-girlfriend claimed he struck her during an argument. This woman bore visible injuries, but the case was eventually dropped after she and her mother ceased cooperation with authorities.

In 2020, Davis faced another controversy when he turned himself in after being captured on video allegedly assaulting the mother of his child during a charity basketball event. Similarly, in 2023, he was charged with battery after a woman accused him of slapping her; however, prosecutors dismissed the case when she chose not to proceed.

Davis’ Future in Boxing

In recent interviews, Davis discussed his future in the sport. He expressed a desire to retire, aiming to adopt a “softer and more humble” approach for the sake of his two daughters. His legal team has not made any public comments regarding his recent arrest.
