Grant Udinski Exits Browns Head Coach Search

Grant Udinski Exits Browns Head Coach Search

Grant Udinski will not be taking on the role of head coach for the Cleveland Browns. Reports indicate that Udinski has decided to withdraw from consideration for the position after securing a new contract to continue as the offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Despite his exit from the Browns’ search, Udinski remains a candidate for the head coaching position with the Buffalo Bills. At just 30 years old, he had previously been interviewed by the Browns twice and was viewed as a leading contender for the position.

Browns’ Ongoing Search for Head Coach

Following the departure of Kevin Stefanski, who was let go after six seasons, the Cleveland Browns are actively seeking a new head coach. Stefanski has recently accepted a new role as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons.

Current Candidates for the Browns

  • Jim Schwartz – Defensive Coordinator
  • Todd Monken – Former Ravens Offensive Coordinator
  • Anthony Lynn – Commanders Run Game Coordinator
  • Nate Scheelhaase – Rams Passing Game Coordinator

The Browns’ decision-makers are reportedly in Los Angeles to conduct an in-person interview with Nate Scheelhaase, following the Rams’ defeat in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

As the search for a head coach continues, Cleveland aims to fill the vacancy with a strong candidate who can lead the team into the next season.
