Olivia Miles Clinches Third Big 12 Player of the Week Title

Olivia Miles has made history once again by earning her third Big 12 Player of the Week title for the 2025-26 season. She achieved this remarkable feat earlier this week, joining the elite company of former TCU All-American Sedona Prince, who also won the award three times in a single season.

Outstanding Performance

The New Jersey native showcased her skills with an impressive average of 28 points, five rebounds, and 3.5 assists during the Horned Frogs’ recent games against Houston and Colorado. In the matchup against Houston, she scored a game-high 25 points, leading TCU to a decisive 90-45 victory, marking the largest margin of victory in program history for a Big 12 game.

In a closely contested game against Colorado, Miles achieved a career-high of 31 points on 11-of-19 shooting. Notably, she scored 14 points in the third quarter and played a crucial role in TCU’s 22-point second-half effort, which nearly overcame an 11-point deficit, falling short in an 80-79 loss.

Recognition and Accolades

In addition to her Big 12 honor, Miles was also named to the late midseason top 20 list for the prestigious Wooden Award. This award is presented annually to the best college basketball player in the nation. She shares recognition with other standout players, including Iowa State’s Audi Crooks, who ranks among the nation’s top scorers, averaging 25.9 points per game.

Recently, Miles was also included in the midseason top 10 for the Nancy Lieberman Award, which honors the best point guard in women’s college basketball. She has been a dominant force for TCU, leading in scoring for 11 consecutive games and in 11 of the 12 games played in the Big 12.

Consistency and Statistics

Throughout the season, Miles has maintained an impressive scoring average of 19.7 points per game. She has also contributed 6.8 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. Her recent performances include ten games where she scored at least 20 points in her last 14 starts, and she has famously scored in double figures for 25 consecutive games to begin the season.

Looking Ahead

Moving forward, Miles and the Horned Frogs, who currently hold a record of 21-4 overall and 9-3 in the Big 12, will take on No. 12 Baylor (21-4, 10-2) on Thursday, February 12. The game is set to take place at Foster Pavilion in Waco, with a kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Fans can watch the game live on ESPN. A win for TCU could result in a four-way tie for first place in the conference standings.
