Drivers Face License Revocation After Three Serious Traffic Violations in a Year
In Kyrgyzstan, significant changes to traffic regulations will impact drivers with serious traffic violations. The Main Traffic Safety Department has announced a new requirement for those who accumulate three or more serious infractions within a single year. This initiative aims to enhance road safety and discipline among motorists.
New Traffic Violation Policy
Under the latest amendments to the Code of Offenses, specifically Article 37, drivers must retake their driving exams if they commit certain serious violations. This policy reflects a tougher stance on traffic management.
Serious Violations Include:
- Driving without state license plates
- Ignoring lawful orders to stop a vehicle
- Exceeding speed limits by more than 40 km/h
- Failing to yield to vehicles with special signals
- Incorrectly overtaking in oncoming lanes
- Damaging road infrastructure or property
- Traffic violations causing harm to individuals
- Allowing an intoxicated or unlicensed person to drive
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has emphasized the importance of these stricter measures. The goal is to improve overall road discipline and significantly reduce systematic traffic violations.
By implementing these regulations, Kyrgyz officials hope to promote safer driving practices and protect all road users. As enforcement increases, drivers are urged to familiarize themselves with the updated rules to avoid license revocation.
