Dog Abandoned with Slashed Throat at Scenic South West Location
A disturbing incident involving animal cruelty has surfaced in the scenic South West of England. A deceased dog, found in a Bristol woodland, was discovered with a slashed throat.
Discovery of the Abandoned Dog
The grim find occurred on January 27, when a dog walker stumbled upon the lifeless body of a black bull breed dog in Badock’s Wood, located in the Southmead area of Bristol. Alongside the dog was a purple suitcase.
Condition of the Dog
The dog was severely underweight and exhibited a significant injury to its neck, indicating that its throat had been cut with a sharp object. RSPCA Inspector Simon Coombes stated that the dog was wrapped in a black bin liner, contributing to the distressing scene.
- The dog had no microchip or identification tags.
- Its skeletal frame was visible beneath its fur.
Investigation and Appeal
The RSPCA has launched an investigation and is appealing for any information regarding the dog’s background. Inspector Coombes has urged anyone who may recognize the dog or witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
Individuals with information can contact the RSPCA’s appeal line at 0300 123 8018, referencing incident number 1724527.
