Simultaneously, defenseman Denton Mateychuk has been placed on Injured Reserve, retroactive to January 11.

Mason Marchment’s Return

Mason Marchment, 30, has been sidelined for the past eight games due to an upper body injury sustained on January 4 during a match against Pittsburgh. This season, Marchment has achieved a total of 20 points, comprising nine goals and 11 assists, while accumulating 36 penalty minutes over 36 games played for both the Blue Jackets and the Seattle Kraken.

Since joining the Blue Jackets through a trade from Seattle on December 19, Marchment has recorded 5 goals and 2 assists in 7 games, along with 10 penalty minutes and a +4 plus/minus rating.
